Position Overview
The Central Equipment Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities within Central Equipment Management team which provides an integrated patient equipment storage, assembly, maintenance, deployment and delivery system to assist MGH staff in providing quality patient care.
Secondary roles include maintaining and evolving the RFID tracking system, and the CFMMS requisition system throughout the corporation.
Interlacing the three systems together ensures the end users are able to effectively gather information pertaining to their tasks and requirements.
This position reports directly to the Manager, Bio-Medical Engineering.Education
Bachelor's degree in Health Science or Technology Management to understand integration of health science and equipment needs and appropriate selection, preferred.
- A combination of education and experience working in a hospital healthcare environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, required; Project, Visio and AutoCAD preferred
- Fundamental understanding of strategic and project planning processes; contract administration and vendor procurement;
- Coordination/administration experience, supporting technical/business environments;
- General knowledge of Healthcare guidelines; legislation and regulation covering Ontario Hospital's Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act Worker's Compensation Act, WHMIS, CSA guidelines, and other related acts/laws as required;
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organize, communicate, implement, monitor and problem solve;
- Welldeveloped negotiation and conflict management/resolution skills;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills coordinating work activities;
- Energetic selfstarter with strong work ethic;
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to handle several projectsat the same time;
- Highly developed oral and written skills
