Description
Develop and implement programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, using the Montessori philosophy and methodology.
Supervise and co-ordinate Head teachers and assistant teachers in their program implementation to ensure compliance with Montessori philosophy and methodology.
Responsible for physical resource acquisition (purchase of materials, supplies, etc). Support teachers and assistants in carrying out Montessori programming and learning. Assist in keeping records. Observe children for developmental milestones and prepare reports and conduct meetings with parents to discuss. Knowledge of day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations.Work directly with children, through feeding, diaper changes, executing on programming and teaching, arts and crafts, reading and storytelling, etc.
Guide and assist children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. Assess childrens' progress and needs, and communicate them to other staff at meetings, and to parents. Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.Job Type:
Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
$3,800.00-$4,200.00 per month
