IMCO is looking for a highly motivated APM, Infrastructure to join our team


Working under the direction of senior team members of the Infrastructure group, this position will be a key member of the deal team and be responsible for executing critical workstreams related to deal execution, asset management and sales/monetizations for direct infrastructure investments which are expected to grow to over $10 billion over the next few years.

This position provides an opportunity for an ambitious and intellectually curious investment professional to join an established investment program that is committed to supporting the clean energy transition.

Under Infrastructure's wide investment mandate, the APM will manage and support investments in critical infrastructure assets across the globe and the risk spectrum.

The APM will work in a collaborative and supportive work environment with opportunities for mentorship and career development and will be responsible for overseeing the development of Senior Analysts and Analysts.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:

  • Participating in the sourcing, analysis, and evaluation of potential infrastructure investment opportunities.
  • Key workstreams of the underwriting process including due diligence and preparation of investment approval and presentation materials.
  • Ongoing active asset management and monitoring of investments, including assessments of the fair market value of portfolio investments and engagement with portfolio companies on important value driving initiatives.
  • Developing proposals to enhance the risk-adjusted performance of the overall portfolio, considering all aspects of portfolio management.
  • Establishing, maintaining and enhancing existing working relationships with key stakeholders, including asset managers, fund managers, internal departments and external advisors.
  • Engaging in training and development offered within the investments team, as well as actively participating in developing junior employees through informal and formal training.
  • Supporting internal reporting requirements and working with internal teams to address ad-hoc issues and questions related to valuation and reporting on IMCO's Infrastructure investments.
  • Ensuring that all investment / asset management activities and stakeholder engagement reflect IMCO's value and its focus on sustainability.


What do you need to succeed?- Extensive experience in the infrastructure investment market with 3-5 years of relevant work experience in private markets investing, investment banking, management consulting or transaction advisory, including experience working in the infrastructure sector.- University degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics or engineering.- Additional designations (CFA, CA/CPA, CAIA, AACI etc.), or working towards those designations, are valued, but not required.- Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modelling, problem solving and organizational skills.- Knowledge of a broad range of investment vehicles, investment theories and practices.- Understanding of risk management principles and practices.- Advanced facility with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word software.- Written communication skills required to report complex information (e.g.

regular performance reports, due diligence reviews, and investment recommendations) in a clear, concise manner.- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills required to exchange complex information and to present information, as well to build key working relationships.- Ability to cultivate partnerships and work collaboratively in a team environment, and with internal and external resources.- Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and the capability to handle multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously.- Ability to provide oversight and motivation to junior team members, including training and development.- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge on an ongoing basis.
