_Production Supervisor - Manufacturing_
Principal Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily production requirements are met per production plan and operating standards.
- Ensure quality of parts are produced and total quality program is supported.
- Confirm material, supplies, tools and information are available for team members to perform their tasks.
- Verify equipment is operating effectively with the support of the maintenance department.
- Make sure production goals are attained.
- Check to make sure waste is eliminated (i.e.; time, material, effort and cost)
- Collaborate with management team to ensure team members are supervised, trained, and coached to support the company standards & employment legislation.
- Follow up in a timely manner to team members complaints and concerns.
- Encourage team member ideas and review and implement any approved ideas.
- Ensure team members are working efficiently.
- Complete production reports accurately and hand them in to the production manager in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with all departments within the company.
- Make certain that regulations, rules, health & safety policy's are enforced.
- Demonstrate and support Continuous improvement, Kaizen, TS 16949 and ISO 1400
- Ensure plant is safe, clean and organized.
- Work in compliance with the Occupational health and safety act, Company rules and regulations.
- Other duties/tasks/projects can be assigned by the production manager, general manager, or their designate.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Grade 12)
- 5 years Previous manufacturing supervisor experience
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient communication in English, both written and verbal communications.
- Have exceptional sound judgement and be able to make professional, fair decisions that support the company and its team members.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to work with minimum direction.
- Posse the ability to problem solve under stressful situations and keep professionalism.
- Be flexible with your availability to support the company requirements to our customers and our team members.
- Have a great work ethic, attendance and attitude.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, push, pull, climb, bend during an 8 hour shift.
- CSA approved steel toe shoes, and be able to wear PPE. (eye PPE, hearing PPE, safety vest etc.)
