Overview:
The PIT Manager will Lead the commercialization of Frito-Lay's portfolio across customer, eCommerce and field initiatives, and directly manage the project deliverables, timelines, and task coordination for the commercialization (commercial launch) of all growth drivers for the business outside of trade spend, media, and coupons


This includes:

  • New Product Innovations and Offerings
  • Bring Back Product Rotations, First To Market offerings, customer packs, etc
  • Product Lifecycle Changes (e.g. Pricing, Weight Changes, Raw Material Transitions, Manufacturing Location Changes & Packaging Transitions)


Responsible for collaborating within the Growth Office and with cross functional partners from sales, finance, brand, product supply, procurement, innovation, and R&D to drive the customer team commercial agenda.

Responsibilities:


What you'll be working on:


  • Ensure all product change projects are managed through the correct process, governance, and successfully launch in market on time with the alignment of all relevant cross functional partners
  • Work with Prime Movers to ensure project scope clearly is communicated in Business Proposals (BPs)
  • Determine ownership, execution scope, and master data setup needs for all projects
  • Work with business partners to understand strategic objectives of projects
  • Identify complexity and resources needed; generate activity roadmaps
  • Ensure all other business priorities, schedule dependencies and risks are considered when creating the execution timeline
  • Drive BP execution plans to ensure project milestones are met
  • Lead crossfunctional partners in weekly Task Force execution meetings
  • Drive cross functional teams to quickly assess, reprioritize and adjust schedules to meet unanticipated headwinds; this includes removing barriers, elevating risks, and balancing projects against one another in terms of priority of execution
  • Ensure proper management of Master Data (UPCs / product codes / product attributes) as part of each business proposal with personal knowledge and oversight of coordinators who assemble master data for each BP
  • Work cross functionally to reduce data and project errors, and improve speed to market vs current levels

Qualifications:

Who's a good fit for the team:

  • Undergraduate degree in an applicable discipline
  • Preferable experience: 2+ years prior Sales or Supply Chain or Marketing or previous experience in project management
  • Understanding of the Frito Lay or related industry commercialization process and role within the organization
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Knowledge of common project management principles and tactics
  • Experience in facilitating groups or leading training helpful
  • Detail and results oriented with strong execution skills partnered with intellectual curiosity
  • Engergized by continuous changes with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities on tight timelines
  • Ability to coach and develop talent
  • Solid knowledge to use proprietary based system software (e.g. SAP or Oracle)
  • Working P&L knowledge helpful
  • Solid Understanding of Packaged Goods business flow
  • DSD preferred
  • E-Commerce Knowledge helpful
  • Bias for action in enabling selling
  • Adaptive, and willing to lead through frequent and unexpected changes
  • Team player with a track record of collaboration
  • Willingness to solve problems and operate in ambiguous situations while working towards solutions
  • Result driven and enthusiastic, with a willingness to help work through issues
