- Supervise and lead all Environmental functions for mining operations, providing clear direction
- Preparation and execution of regulatory reporting
- The person needs to be experienced in permitting / regulatory body
- Develop short, mid, and long-term environmental plans
- Responsible for indigenous and local community relations
- Monitoring of water treatment plant and tailings management facility
- Manage site environmental compliance, reporting and statutory investigations
- Mine restoration and rehabilitation planning
Must haves: - Bachelor's degree or higher in relatable discipline
- Mining environmental supervisory experience
- Knowledgeable in environmental regulations, monitoring, sampling, and related documentation.
- Mine permitting experience
- Knowledgeable in provincial and federal legislation
- Indigenous community and stakeholder engagement processes.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

The role: (Residential Position - Ontario) Join an exciting and newly created mining company, where you will be the most senior person in the Environmental department (leading a team of 4), responsible for 2 sites.Ensure the companies flagship underground site is fully prepared to enter the production stage, whilst also working on a lesser established project to ensure continuous environmental compliance and permitting is met.
Title: Environment & Community Lead
Location: Ontario (Will require relocation)
Salary: $140,000-$160,000 + Quarterly Bonus + Benefits + Relocation Assistance

Company: Mining Development Company (1 operation and 1 project)
Reports to: Mine General Manager
Team size: Leading a team of 4 in Environment / 90 in total at site
