About the Job_

Reporting to the Managing Director, you are responsible for a diverse set of responsibilities in supporting the HR function. This is a part-time stand-alone role in a small organization that has big goals. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be in the workforce part-time and have an impact.


The primary focus is to support the Leadership team and organization, this role will develop and/or oversee HR administration, K.P.I's, recruitment, health & safety, talent management and streamline HR processes and workflows.

This role will develop and administer core HR programs such as recruitment & selection, employee experience programs, performance management and health and safety programs.

The successful incumbent will work as part of a small team to enhance organizational effectiveness and ensure compliance with internal and external policies, processes, and legislation.


Responsibilities
Duties may include but not limited to the following:
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation

Manage the full-cycle recruitment and selection process from job description development to job posting, interviewing and administering offers.

Facilitate and manage onboarding of all new staff, including administration and communications


Provide coaching to leaders in support of employee development, employee engagement and retention, performance management, and/or employee relations and hold regular meetings as needed.


Administer leaves of absences such as, disability, maternity/parental, workers compensation, etc., and work with third party adjudicators and/or WSIB to establish safe return to work plans.


Serve as the employee's first point of contact to address HR related inquiries or issues, answer questions, and process requests concerning HR policies, benefits, payroll and leaves of absence or other.

Administer the employee separation process including terminations, retirements, departure information and exit interviews.


Support HR initiatives that are related to the business strategy such as employee satisfaction assessments, total rewards, training and development, and employment brand awareness.

Other duties as directed by Managing Director.


Qualifications and Experience
Min. 3 years of related experience in a similar role

Generalist experience and human resource support or business partner background

C.H.R.P designation required or in progress

Strong human resources experience, preferably in a non-union environment, retail experience an asset.

Intermediate computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

Strong organizational skills


Self-starter, with a high degree of attention to detail in all areas of work, and a proven track-record of responsiveness and meeting deadlines.

Must exhibit unquestionable judgment, strict confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Salary:
$45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
