La Saison de Patisserie is an up and coming French/Asian fusion patisserie which highlights quality artisan pastries, entremets, and chocolate.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and decorate pastries, such as cookies, cakes, and other sweets.
  • Cook in a professional manner, meeting all quality standards and following recipes precisely.
  • Work well individually, as well as in a team setting
  • Follow timeline guides when necessary
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Work with a minimum of supervision when other team members are not present.
  • Follow all health and safety standards when working with food and products.
  • Operate equipment safely and accurately.
  • Clean equipment properly after use.
  • Store products properly.
  • Work cooperatively with staff to complete tasks on time and meet their needs.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills when working with managers or supervisors.
  • Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, and diagram form for specific tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Food Safe Level 1 is required
  • Professional pastry school diploma is preferred
  • Experience in fast paced patisserie or hotel environment is an asset
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work on seasonal menu
  • Ability to be mobile on the kitchen floor for extended periods of time (8 hours)
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 50 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and early mornings

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Salary:
$18.25-$21.95 per hour
