Environmental Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Global Quality Assurance, the Environmental Coordinator will work with various stakeholders across the organization to support data collection, analysis, and reporting as it pertains to environmental and sustainability initiatives.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Complete NPRI (National Pollutant Release Inventory) reporting to submit to the MOE (Ministry of Environment and Climate Change).
  • Coordinate the hazardous waste disposal activities with the thirdparty agency, Purchasing team, and Operations leadership.
  • Complete Industrial Consumption of Energy survey and reporting.
  • Complete Energy and Water data collection and reporting.
  • Complete Halocarbon Refrigeration Release reporting.
  • Coordinate activities related to the Waste Audit and Waste Reduction plan.
  • Complete ECA (Environmental Compliance Approval) written summary.
  • Complete annual Environmental Protection Expenditure survey.
  • Complete RPRA (Resource Productivity & Recovery Authority) Stewardship Ontario annual report.
  • Coordinate and conduct ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 internal audits.
  • Completion of other reports and analysis as required.
  • Other tasks as required for EHS, ISO 14001 and ISO45001

Education and Experience:


  • Postsecondary education in a related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience Environmental role dealing with MOE.
  • Must have minimum of 3 years of internal auditor experience in relation to the ISO 14001 Environmental standard.
  • Advanced level of computer skills (Microsoft products/Visual or Dynamics 365 ERP).
Must have a mechanical aptitude, highly self-motivated.

  • Demonstrated project management and leadership ability.
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • High degree of interpersonal and communication skills required to work with all levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize many tasks and handle highpressure situations.
  • Working knowledge of analytical and problemsolving tools (Pareto, Charts, 80 Step, FMEA) is an asset.
  • Must be very hands on and comfortable working on the plant floor and in warehouse areas.
