ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
Provides focused support for Sales and Marketing operations to targeted residences across Ontario as directed.

Consults with the Regional Director, Sales & Marketing - Ontario in the development and implementation of new initiatives and standardized sales tools for the purpose of achieving/exceeding budgeted occupancy and market rates at each residence.


BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS

Preference given to individuals who have completed post-secondary education in business administration, with a major in sales, marketing, communication or public relations, or a background in an industry related to the position.

Written and verbal fluency in English is required. Must have proficient computer skills (i.e., Word and Excel). Has demonstrated excellent leadership skills (i.e., Diversicare/ Verve Competencies) and the ability to work well independently. A proven record in seniors' living sales a must. A resident-oriented individual, whose visions and values align with those of Diversicare/Verve.
Must be available for a flexible work schedule, which may include weekends and/or evenings. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel, with overnight travel required. Preference given to individuals with 5 years of experience collaborating with seniors in a similar setting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Most of the time and duties will be at the residences (90%) with additional time expected for meetings and planning sessions with the Regional Director, Sales & Marketing
  • Ontario and at the corporate office
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and identifying plans to achieve improved occupancy at targeted residences, as assigned by the Regional Director, Sales & Marketing
  • Ontario. Visits residences with occupancy challenges, and reviews the sales/marketing plan, Secret Shops, competition analysis, Sherpa reports, Competitive Analysis, etc., and implements improved processes which result in increased sales. Provides coaching and new initiatives to improve occupancy and work with those residences for a period of time to ensure the initiatives are effective and occupancy is improving.

  • Provides sales orientation/onboarding and ongoing support to new Area/General Managers and Community Relations Managers/Assistants at targeted residences.
  • Reviews Secret Shop reports, one on one with designated Community Relations Managers/Assistants, for the purposes of sales process training.
  • Ensures that each assigned residence inputs sales activity and metrics into Sherpa CRM to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Performs duties of Community Relations Managers/Assistants where and when assigned for a short or temporary period of vacancy or training.
  • Actively engaged in working with the sales team and potential prospects to increase and meet occupancy targets. Once stable, to collaborate with teams to secure future pipeline, waitlists, and prospect engagement.
  • Participates in the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) program.
  • Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems. This includes recognizing health and safety hazards, reporting incidents, fulfilling responsibilities under the applicable legislation, as well as participating in inservices and fire drills.
  • Complies with all relevant corporate policies and procedures. Makes recommendations regarding development/modification to policies and procedures.
