Position Summary


The
Project Manager is responsible for supporting and enabling the design, development, implementation, and reporting/monitoring of De Havilland's Victoria Manufacturing Operations assigned special projects and other corporate objectives as assigned by the Director of Operations-Victoria.

The Project Manager must plan, organize, lead, control and coordinate and implement multiple projects to fulfill the objectives of the Victoria Manufacturing Operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules and budgets for projects and major milestones, ensuring commitments and company goals are met
  • Establish governance systems for projects, including cadence of meetings, scorecard/metrics, and flow of information, escalating issues as required
  • Manage projects in accordance with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada policies for risk
  • Produce accurate and timely reports
  • Ensure motivation and clear communication of team and project priorities through regular meetings with stakeholders
  • Manage a communication channel to ensure De Havilland leadership team is always current on program status
  • Take the initiative to lead others, encouraging professional and personal growth
  • Support team members and De Havilland department heads as required
  • Meet all deadlines, holding yourself and team members accountable for their commitments

Education & Experience

  • Project Management experience in an Aerospace related environment is considered an asset
  • 35 years in an Aerospace environment
  • Understand quality standards and health & safety regulations in an aviation setting
  • Previous experience with managing multiple projects in a fastpaced work environment
  • Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate a strategy using PowerPoint and to work with Excel and MS-Project
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all organizational levels
  • Excellent project management, communication, organizational, customer service and time management skills, foresight, accuracy and commitment to objectives and responsibilities.
  • Must be selfmotivated, autonomous and enthusiastic, possess excellent written and verbal communications and human relations skills and be willing to travel.
