Team Lead - Integration & QA

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead Integration & QA team and oversee day to day tasks for operational support and project work of Senior Integration Developers and Quality Assurance analysts
  • Lead the delivery of multiple technical initiatives with a strong focus on delivering high quality, functional outcomes delivering value to the Hospital community.
  • Adept at adjusting priorities as required to meet to meet emerging requirements of the Hospital
  • Proactive monitoring of alerts related to Integration platforms to minimize the risk of unplanned downtimes
  • Ensure timely response to all Incidents related to Integration platforms and maintaining SLA of 99.95%.
  • Perform the role of Scrum master to facilitate Scrum framework for development sprints prompting Agile Methodology within the team
  • Coordinate disaster recovery exercises, backup files restore validation and other exercises including walkthroughs, tabletop and functional exercises.
  • Lead and schedule upgrades for the Epic and Integration platforms
  • Enumerate and specify standard operating procedures for implementation within the team, developing a repository of knowledge for use by the Integration and QA team.
  • Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Fostering an environment of continuous improvement and implementation of best practices is integral to the role
  • Present complex Technical solutions to all levels of the organization in clear, concise and easy to understand language
  • Delegate for Systems Development & Integration Manager when required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree in a computer science or equivalent required
  • 10+ years working in IT industry required, primarily in developing Integration solutions utilizing HL7/FHIR interfaces
  • Epic Bridges certification required
  • 2+ years supporting Microsoft BizTalk ESB is required
  • 2+ years leading IT initiatives and overseeing deliverables of IT professionals with focus on QA.
  • 2+ years experience working in healthcare required, specifically in delivery of high impact, high quality Information technology initiatives
  • Working knowledge of following frameworks: Scrum, ITIL, PMBOK, TOGAF required
  • Familiar with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment
  • Excellent analytical and interpretation skills along with demonstrated experience in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with relationship management and working with clinicians to integrate technology into practice an asset
  • Advanced skills in business analysis, workflow process redesign, and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate the same message to people at multiple levels throughout the organization
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent Team building and leadership skills with the ability to influence and direct the team to exceptional outcomes.
