RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Technical and Projects
  • Answer help desk calls/service requests
  • Assure timely problem resolution
  • System Production support
  • Supplies/paper inventory control
  • Printer/PC/computer equip replacement
  • Evaluate and resolve scanner issues
  • RF scanner configuration/deployment and
- repair/replacement

  • Set up network accounts
  • Reset user accounts/passwords
  • Support SPS North American I.T. initiatives and projects
  • Maintain all regulatory compliance requirements with
- the deployed management systems


OBJECTIVES:


  • Ensure all service level agreement objectives are met, which are:
  • Priority One issues are addressed within 15min and resolved within 30min
  • Priority Two issues are addressed within 20min and resolved within 40min
  • Priority Three issues are addressed within 1h and resolved within 2h
  • Priority Four issues are addressed within 2h and resolved within 4h

HOURS OF WORK:

Afternoon Shift OSCC- Monday-Thursday 4:30pm to 1:00am

Friday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am and work overtime as required


PREREQUISITES:


  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 months of consecutive employment with SPS
  • Good keyboarding skills
  • Problem solving skills orientated towards technical issues
  • Basic IBM I experience/ IBM i Professional Systems Operator
  • One to six months' experience with Windows and IBM I operations
  • A certificate or relevant work experience in any of the following:
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • HDI Desktop Support Technician
  • HDI Technical Support Professional

  • Maintain daily, positive and productive communication and work cooperatively with all organizational levels
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced highly interactive environment
  • Foster a positive work environment; exemplify ethical work habits and adhere to policies
  • Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills
  • Capable of interacting with outside contractors and service providers as needed
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and/or hear
  • Sitting for extended periods of time and able to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to work 20+ ft. in the air in a safety cage or Genie Boom
  • Able to wear the required PPE (ie: bump cap, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.)
