    Ce que vous ferez


    Le (La) directeur (directrice) principal (e) travaillera avec des clients d'entreprises nationales et multinationales dans des secteurs variés. Voici quelques-unes des responsabilités du poste :

    • Superviser les activités financières quotidiennes des projets de restructuration et/ou des transactions, y compris l'interaction avec les meilleurs experts en restructuration de l'industrie, les professionnels du droit et de la finance d'autres cabinets et la direction des clients
    • Appliquer vos compétences en affaires, en comptabilité, en finance et en analyse à diverses situations de nos clients et cabinets professionnels
    • Examiner les états financiers et effectuer une analyse des résultats
    • Préparer et/ou réviser des projections financières complexes pour modéliser les processus d'affaires et/ou les transactions réelles ou hypothétiques (incluant l'exploitation en tant qu'entreprise en activité, la vente de l'entreprise, sa liquidation, etc.)
    • Évaluer les plans d'affaires, les flux de trésorerie et analyser de grandes quantités de données associées aux plans de restructuration
    • Procéder à un contrôle diligent financier et à une analyse financière des clients et des entreprises cibles potentielles
    • Comprendre tous les aspects de l'activité du client, y compris l'examen des performances opérationnelles et financières (telle que l'analyse des écarts au budget sur les résultats des flux de trésorerie)
    • Préparer des rapports écrits et/ou des présentations à l'intention de tiers sur la portée du projet, les constatations et résultats des activités
    • Collaborer avec la haute direction, les conseillers juridiques et les banquiers des clients dans le contexte de la vente de l'entreprise, de ses opérations non essentielles ou d'autres actifs afin de conclure la transaction
    • Gérer l'équipe d'engagement et offrir de l'encadrement aux membres de l'équipe

    Qualifications de base :

    • Baccalauréat ou Maitrise en comptabilité, en administration des affaires ou en finance
    • 7+ ans d'expérience professionnelle pertinente dans un cabinet de services professionnels (expertise comptable, conseil, etc.)
    • Expérience préalable dans les services de restructuration et/ou de transaction
    • Compréhension des états financiers et des fonctions de l'entreprise
    • Compétences avancées en résolution de problèmes
    • Compétences avancées en modélisation Excel et PowerPoint
    • Communications professionnelles verbales et écrites, y compris la rédaction de rapports
    • Capacité et volonté d'apprendre et de s'adapter dans un environnement en constante évolution pour répondre aux besoins des clients
    • Bilingue (français et anglais)
    • Capacité à se déplacer chez les clients et dans les bureaux de FTI au besoin

    About the Role


    In FTI Consulting's Restructuring & Turnaround segment, we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. We are a global consulting firm with over 8,000 employees worldwide with a team of over 100 employees located in every major location in Canada. We operate in small engagement teams to provide direct hands‑on experience to our clients. We have opened a few years ago our Montreal corporate finance and restructuring practice and are excited to increase our headcount at our Montreal office.

    What You'll Do


    The Senior Director will work with clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries. Some of the job responsibilities will include:

    • Overseeing the day‑to‑day financial activities of restructuring and/or transactions related projects including interaction with top restructuring experts in the industry, legal and finance professionals from other firms and senior client management
    • Apply business, accounting, finance and analysis skills to various client situations and practice disciplines
    • Review financial statements and perform quality of earnings analysis
    • Prepare and/or review complex financial projections to model business processes and/or actual or hypothetical transactions (including operating as a going concern, sale of the company, liquidation, etc.)
    • Assess business plans, cash flows, and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans
    • Conduct financial due diligence and financial analysis of clients and potential target companies
    • Understand all aspects of the client's business including review of operational and financial performance (such as actual vs. budget variance analysis on cash flow results)
    • Draft written reports and/or presentations for third parties on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities
    • Work with the client's senior management, legal counsel, and investment bankers for the sale of the business, non‑core operations or other assets to complete the transaction
    • Manage the engagement team and provide coaching to junior team members

    What You Will Need To Succeed


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
    • 7+ years of relevant post‑graduate professional experience in a professional services firm (public accounting, consulting, etc.)
    • Prior experience in restructuring and/or transaction services
    • Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions
    • Advanced problem‑solving and issue resolution skills
    • Advanced Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills
    • Professional verbal and written communications, including report writing
    • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt in an ever‑changing environment to meet client needs
    • Bilingual (French and English)
    • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CPA
    • MBA
    • Licence Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
