It is a temporary contract position working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week starting January 2024 until May 2024.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct full cycle recruitment of open craft staff to meet the needs of highvolume projects in line with the policies, procedures, standards and the hourly workflow.
  • Develop content for job postings in collaboration with the hiring team.
  • Review resumes, share with the hiring teams and conduct firstlevel phone screens confirming credentials and work experience based on site specific safety conditions and requirements.
  • Schedule preemployment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Track and mobilize active open craft personnel to new projects as required.
  • Work closely with the onboarding team to process hires
  • Update and maintain new hires and rehires employee seniority dates.
  • Maintain complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by law within the ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Participate in planning meetings with the business to stay current on upcoming projects and resource requirements.
  • Manage general employment inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, business or in a related field
  • RPR Designation an asset
  • 5+ years' recruiting experience in high volume trades recruitment and salaried hires
  • Experience in the construction and oil and gas industries an asset
  • Experience using a complex ATS; Taleo an asset
  • Familiarity with the dynamics, operations, processes and organizational interdependencies of construction and industrial services preferred
  • Knowledge of sourcing, selection and staffing strategies, programs, vendors and tools
  • Understanding of workforcerelated federal and provincial employment laws and regulations
  • Experience working within an ATS system; Taleo experience an asset
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problemsolving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Superior customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
