Position Summary
Project Manager, Information Services
Your goal in this position is to support the planning, development, and implementation of key technical and infrastructure projects within the organization, including the promotion of health system integration and information systems.
You will be a critical resource to lead projects, using project management best practices, and building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
You will be the primary point of contact for the critical projects that they will be leading and will report to the Manager of Information Services.
You're also highly organized, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and are able to demonstrate understanding of health service integration.Your position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
On a practical level, you willBe responsible for the effective planning and implementation of Information Technology and infrastructure projects
Lead, organize and facilitate project-related meetings, develop project reports and maintain project plans, presentations, statistics and other related documents, as required
Build and maintain relationships with all project partners and provide effective written and verbal communication
Proactively identify any project risks and recommend solutions and mitigation strategies
Ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget and within scope
Be responsible for helping evolve North York General Hospital's Project Management methodology
Mentor and coach team members on project management principles
During critical times of any project implementation, you may be required to work off-hours and/or non-business hours.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology-related discipline
PMP designation is an asset
Minimum 3 years' experience in project leadership and management
Strong computer skills, including demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite, including MS Project
Project management skills, with extensive knowledge of project management principles and tools
Extensive knowledge with business process design, impact analysis, change management and problem resolution

This is a Full Time Temporary position of 12 months with required 8 hour shift, days shifts in the Information Services department.
