    About Us:

    Din Tai Fung is a world-renowned Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings. Originally founded in Taiwan as a cooking oil retail business in 1958, Din Tai Fung was reborn as a steamed dumpling and noodle restaurant in 1972.

    About the Role:

    Dishwashers ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes and utensils by washing them in the 3-compartment sink and running them through the commercial dishwasher.

    Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

    • Reads, understands, and follows all guidelines with regard to the chemicals used in the restaurant
    • Wears personal protective equipment to ensure safety and avoid contact with chemicals
    • Uses the proper chemical that is designated for each task in the restaurant
    • Utilizes the 3-compartment sink and commercial dishwasher
    • Bags and prepares trash, cardboard, and other waste and disposing it in accordance with the property's regulations
    • Properly disposes of hazardous chemicals and sharp objects (glass)
    • Cleans all areas of the restaurant
    • Unloads and transports deliveries inside the restaurant
    • Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
    • Attends monthly staff meetings and Dishwasher meetings
