- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations, to establish precise diagnoses.
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and administer suitable medications and treatments, monitoring their efficacy and making adjustments when necessary.
- Offer education and counseling to clients and their families on recovery, wellness, and health management.
- Lead group therapy sessions, providing support and insights in a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Maintain accurate and updated medical records, documenting all interactions, assessments, and interventions.
- Cultivate a caring and nonjudgmental atmosphere that encourages trust and open communication.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in Manitoba.
- Background in addiction medicine, mental health, or similar field is preferred.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for patient engagement and collaboration with peers.
- Empathetic approach and awareness of the struggles individuals face during recovery.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setup.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and basic computer literacy.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
