We're looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Cultivation team in the role of
Coordinator, Processing

As a Coordinator, Processing, you will.

  • Acts as support to Supervisor, including coverage during time away from work
  • Maintain safety, quality and operations acting as a mentor, providing guidance to Technical Assistants as well as Team Members
  • Provide training to Team Members and Technical Assistants
  • Maintain training records and matrix for Processing Team Members, Technical Assistants
  • Maintain steady and effective communication between Technical Assistants, Coordinators and Team Members
  • Support and champion projects for process improvements
  • Ensure trim staff are handling and processing cannabis appropriately with the use of SOP and job aids: giving each individual bud the required attention to produce best in class cannabis
  • Working with other departments to coordinate processing schedules
  • Oversee staff in processing to achieve operational efficiency and meet timebased targets
  • Submit workorders through CMMS as required
  • Follow and enforce defined Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Address all concerns process noncompliance, GDP, equipment and/or safety and immediately escalate to Supervisor
  • Must adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with Health Canada's Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to all ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and practices, and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss
  • Other duties as required

You would be the best fit for this role if you have

  • Previous experience working with cannabis considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks

Bonus points if you have

  • Comfortable working with Cannabis
  • Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
  • Comfortable working with step ladders (i.e. step ladder/single sided step ladder)
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE including, but not limited to jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, face mask etc.
