SummaryThe Payroll Administrator is supporting multiple financial activities relating to company bi-weekly payroll functions. This includes assisting the timely and accurate processing of payroll data for approximately 2,000 salary and hourly employees. Integrity and strong attention to detail are crucial for this role.
Job Duties
- Assist Payrol Specialist with biweekly payroll process for Canadian payroll of hourly and salaried employees.
- Document management of all relevant payroll forms
- Prepare data for Records Of Employments and final pay cheques for departing employees
- Highlight Ceridian cases as required.
- Review management questions and redirect requests as appropriate
- Respond to Service Canada requests
- Assist with year end review, adjustments and reconciliations
- Gather reports for employee payments, benefits, and Human Resources processing paperwork.
- Assist with processing unemployment claims.
- Other projects/duties as assigned and mutually agreed upon
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience in a medium to large sized organization
- Knowledge of payroll systems and internal controls
- Knowledge of Canada Labor Code and Canadian Provincial Labor Standards
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Exemplary attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Sound analytical thinking, planning and prioritization skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Highly conscientious, along with an energetic and mature approach to their work
