What We're Looking For

  • Dynamic leader to manage our Montréal operations and strengthen our bond with our localized Québec audience.
  • Fully bilingual, experienced editor with a knack for pinpointing the most compelling local stories in classical music, opera, dance and theatre each day and collaborating with colleagues to innovate content that captivates our audience.
  • Versatile selfstarter, ready to finetune our content to resonate with our established audience and attract an even broader, multifaceted readership.
  • Proven background in editorial management, showcasing a talent for both creating and enhancing engaging content and a proven history of boosting reader involvement.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and willingness to embrace new challenges, aligned with our company's emphasis on defaulting to optimism as a foundational principle.
  • Exemplary communicator, wellorganized, and adept at juggling diverse tasks, from curating and refining daily articles to penning variouslength features and devising innovative storytelling techniques that ensure our readers' loyalty.

What You'll Do

  • Spearhead the compilation of captivating performing arts stories, selecting those that resonate most with our readers.
  • Manage the daytoday operations of our weekday content, including pioneering new content forms, crafting and refining stories, and fostering reader engagement and dialogue.
  • Assign stories, particularly concert reviews, to a small freelance team.
  • Collaborate closely with our growth and product teams to serve advertising campaigns, poll our readership, discern our current followers' preferences and strategize to cultivate new reader segments.
  • Harness audience analytics to take charge of our local Montreal content strategy, revitalizing content for current readers while drawing in a fresh audience.
  • Manage the strategic planning of our content calendar for daily content, ensuring we maintain a cohesive companywide message.
  • Be prepared to engage in our production cycle five days a week, with occasional weekend events to align with our publishing timetable.

Ce que vous apporterez

  • Bilinguisme Anglais/Français (niveau langue maternelle)
