    Great opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to help guide a very successful group of companies through a period of growth and expansion. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee all accounting functions including financial reporting, analysis and forecasts in addition to providing financial advice to the executive group.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Provide strategic leadership of the Corporate Finance & Accounting teams in Canada and United States
    • Provide oversight of the Treasury function including cash-flow forecasts, liquidity management and external financing needs
    • Provide leadership to management with respect to business planning, budgeting and forecasting and develop sound business models to support sound business decisions to meet long-term growth objectives
    • Develop and implement appropriate accounting and financial reporting systems and processes
    • Manage all aspects of general accounting functions including accounts payable, receivables, collections, payroll, bank reconciliations, group benefits programs and fixed assets
    • Develop, coach and mentor accounting staff to be future leaders
    • Maintain the ERP costing system to generate accurate product costs, inventory valuation and variance analysis
    • Develop, maintain and update cost accounting models and systems and costs to advise management on price changes in order to maximize profit margins
    • Lead the inventory planning activities
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and government remittances
    • Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and processes as they pertain to financial reporting and cash management
    What the successful candidate will bring:
    • Professional accounting designation with 10+ years of senior finance experience within manufacturing sector
    • Proven experience in leading, mentoring and coaching teams
    • Strong corporate accounting and financial reporting experience within a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to integrate strategic business objectives
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver change management, systems and process improvements
    • Experience in working within a working a complex, multi-entity and cross-border environment
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey issues to senior management
