We sell our own fine diamond and coloured stone jewellery, branded jewellery such as Pandora and Swarovski, as well as over 10 world-renowned watch brands such as Cartier, Omega and Longines.

We are seeking a full time Payroll Administrator to join our head office team in Vancouver.

The primary duty of this role will be to administer the payroll for approximately 150 store and head office employees.

You would report to the Controller in a tight knit accounting team of five staff and would play a major role in managing payroll for the organization.

The job duties include the following:

  • Entering payroll hours and information into Ceridian PowerPay and processing payroll on a semi-monthly basis
  • Reconciling employee time data in preparation of each pay period
  • Reconciling monthly commission reports
  • Administering the hiring of employees, including background assessments, set up of employee contracts, and set up of employees in the retail and payroll program
  • Administering the termination of employees, including issuing ROEs and preparing final pay
  • Implementing the benefits program to eligible employees and communicating with our benefits provider on any employee issues
  • Preparing all government required forms, such as WCB, Employer Health Tax, T4s, and taxable benefits
  • Track vacation hours for head office, store managers, and assistant store managers
  • Act as the go to person for pay and benefits issues from employees
  • Review company HR processes for areas of improvement and work with management on implementation
  • Bookkeeping and GST for minor companies of the organization
  • Additional HR tasks may be added
  • Minimum three years of prior payroll experience
  • Strong oral and written English
  • Adept at Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Ceridian PowerPay would be an asset, but not required
  • Strong work ethic, highly organized, and able to work independently
