PROFILE


Our Finance team is looking for a Pricing & Legal Project Management Analyst This position is responsible for providing analytical support to the pricing and legal project management (LPM) function.

This position can be based in any of our Canadian offices


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide analytical support to the Pricing and LPM team ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services to achieve business results.
  • Maintain a database of pricing engagements, fee proposals, volume discounts and billing guidelines.
  • In accordance with the firm's pricing governance, followup on pricing proposals status, liaise with the Business Development and Billing groups and affect appropriate changes in the system and database.
  • Update lawyers on matter budget status to keep matters on budget and on time.
  • Provide financial and profitability analysis on pricing proposals, historical portfolio activity and current performance.
  • Provide support in the client/matter rate renewal process.
  • Update data on the firm's Cael pricing and LPM platform.
  • Provide assistance related to matter tagging and reporting on matter opening to ensure Alternate Fee Arrangements can be tracked properly in Aderant.
  • Generate activity reports relating to the Pricing and LPM function.
  • Other tasks, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in finance/accounting and 3 years financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; preferably within a law firm or other professional services organization.
  • Experience in project management is an asset.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and critical thinking to deliver pragmatic analyses.
  • Track record of quality analytical output and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding client service.
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively on crossfunctional work teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are critical in order to efficiently multitask and prioritize work.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
