Therapeutic Sales Specialist, Dermatology (7-month contract)

Ashfield Engage is looking to hire a Therapeutic Sales Specialist (TSS) in Dermatology, that is a proven specialty representative with a track record of meeting the needs of Dermatologists in the BC region.

The Therapeutic Sales Specialist (TSS) will be responsible for launching, promoting, and driving demand for the clients newly branded dermatology products in targeted dermatologist offices within an individually assigned geography.

The TSS will build an understanding and demonstrate an awareness of the customer's needs and will be reporting into the Ashfield Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage targeted dermatologists within assigned geography through regular inperson or virtual interactions to deliver scientific and clinically focused communications
  • Join an inaugural sales team to build and represent a new company and dermatology portfolio of products
  • Strategically create and maintain a territory business plan to ensure optimal account coverage and impact to achieve or exceed given territory and national sales objectives and goals
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage a high level of product and disease state knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Arcutis products to key customers
  • Organize and execute territory and national level promotional programs and activities
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other stakeholders within the company and with fieldbased colleagues to proactively address customer needs, identify market dynamics, and develop strategies to reach common goals
  • Provide exceptional customer service through total account management, including marketing resources, product access, reimbursement, and onlabel medical questions
  • Represent the company in a professional, compliant, and ethical manner upholding the that are key to organization's culture
  • Review weekly/monthly data reports to analyze performance, identify trends and adapt plans to capture new opportunities, and or to address concerns.
  • Perform all duties aligned to client policies and all applicable laws and regulations
Job Holder Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required (science/business degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of successful biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Dermatology and startup experience required
  • Understands, analyzes, and effectively communicates scientific and technical information in compliance with applicable pharmaceutical sales regulations, guidelines, and policies
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills
  • Proven ability to gain access, develop strong professional relationships with providers and their staff, and utilize appropriate solutionsfocused selling skills
  • Has passion for and is effective in a highly competitive, fastpaced startup environment that builds the company and brand with a focus on serving the patient
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinker
  • Effectively leverages provided resources to maximize territory impact
  • Demonstrates leadership within the team and among
  • Flexibility, agility, and ability to pivot to capture new opportunities, leverage new technology, adapt to new processes
  • Demonstrates resultsoriented focus and a positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments operating with a high degree of integrity within compliance guidelines
  • Computer literacy; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Valid driver's license and in good standing
  • COVID19 Vaccination required. Must be able to provide proof of vaccination upon offer acceptance
  • Ability to travel within assigned geography including meetings, training events and programs, as necessary (some overnight travel required)
