    Position: Apprentice Carpenters - Strathcona

    Project Type: Infrastructure Project Location: Strathcona Shift: Day Schedule: Monday to Friday Accommodations: Local Only Travel Details: Not Available GC: Graham Allied Partner: [[legalEntity]] Reference Number: 25860 We are currently recruiting for Apprentice Carpenters for the project in Strathcona This position is in Strathcona, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance. Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime if needed Responsibilities
    • Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
    • Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
    • Look for, and fix deficiencies
    • Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
    • Studies blueprints for work planning
    • Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
    • Erects scaffolding, and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
    • Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
    Requirements
    • Be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
    • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
    • Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
    • Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
