QUALIFICATIONS:

KEY DUTIES

Develop and manage a bioinformatics pipeline for RNA-Seq, snRNASeq, and snATACSeq data analysis, utilizing Bash, R, Python, and computational and cloud computing resources.
Perform brain and spinal cord dissections from ALS/FTD autopsies
Offer feedback and mentorship to junior lab members, enhancing their research skills and academic growth.
Execute laboratory techniques such as realtime PCR, immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, RNAScope, microscopy, along with followup analyses.
Coordinate research efforts with collaborators and their teams.
Preparing manuscripts for submission to peer review publications/journals.
Presenting findings to research peers and collaborators.
Assisting with research proposals to be submitted to granting agencies.
Coordinating biosafety processes and lab maintenance, including inventories, equipment repairs, ordering, and shipping reagents, etc.
Establishing standard operating protocols and procedures for the laboratory.

Beyond these responsibilities, the individual may be expected to participate in the research supervision of two or more students or other trainees.

At all times, the individual is expected to support the overall research and teaching missions of the lab.
