    Our Terrace location is seeking an Operations Manager to support our diverse operations.

    The YXT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of ramp, fuel and de-icing operations, ensuring compliance with the Company's protocols and procedures.

    This position is required to be on call outside the standard scheduled hours of work.

    A company cell phone and email will be provided for the purpose of attending to emergency and operational circumstances as required on a rotational basis.

    Main Functions


    The Operations Manager provides leadership and direction to a team of Line Technicians and Ramp Agents and participates actively in ground and fuel operations when required.

    Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for administrative and training duties as required and or directed by the Base Manager.


    Responsibilities:
    Ensure adherence of corporate, departmental, and OH&S policies and procedures.
    Review and coordinates operations and efficiencies with the Base Manager.

    Plan, design and perform ramp and fuelling services according to the standards set by Executive Flight Centre including aircraft fuelling, loading/unloading, marshalling, and chocking aircraft, and aircraft de/anti-icing servicing as required.

    Establish and lead a high-performance fuelling and ramp team to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
    Ensure KPI's and monthly safety and services levels agreements are met.
    Communicates in a regular basis with various customers, contractors, Airport Authorities and National Authorities as needed.
    Creates operational memos and local policies and procedures to support a continue operational improvement in coordination with Base Manager.

    Updates various types of Operational Manuals, training manual, training records and the local ERP in coordination with the Base Manager.

    Ensure training records for agents are up to date.

    Perform audits on ground handling operational and safety procedures as required and involvement in implementation regarding fuelling and tank farm, inclusive of EFC safety requirements.

    Manages the SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS) and reporting system at the base in coordination with the Base Manager.
    Work in conjunction with Line technicians for the inventory control management of all aviation fuel products and services.
    Support and assist with ground handling, ramp operations and tank farm activities as required. Provides coaching to team members in a regular basis.
    Provide a variety of service on aircraft as required. (Medivac's, Private, Government Agencies, etc
    Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a professional and positive resolution.
    Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
    Communicate changes in policy, procedures, products, services, or any other changes that affect the operations.
    Assist in field maintenance, primarily on the apron and around building entrances for snow clearing and lawn care.
    Ensure baggage loading information is given to each aircraft before departures according with carriers policies.
    Operate all ground service equipment and refuelling vehicles.
    Plan and prioritize work for self and staff.
    Determine needs for supplies and equipment. Issue POs for operational purposes as required.

    Direct involvement in refuelling and ramp personnel, including recruitment, termination, training, evaluations, overtime and timesheet approval, and other administrative duties.

    Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.

    Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service through compliance.
    Comply with and participate in the Company's Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
    Communicates with head office for any needs in operational matters including HR Issues.

    Communicates and works with Base Manager and all team members, Director of Fuels, Director of Airports, QA/QC Manager, EFC Fleet Manager and HR.

    Perform any other duties as required.


    Education and Training:
    Completion of a Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a related field is preferred.
    Previous working experience in the aviation industry with direct working knowledge of airport operation is preferred.
    An understanding of ramp handling, fuelling, safety and security regulations is an asset.
    Class 3 or Class 1 license is preferred.
    Transportation Security Clearance and Driver's Abstract is required as a condition of employment.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
    First Aid and CPR are an asset.

    Must be able to obtain and hold an airport Restricted Area identity card / Restricted area pass and required security clearance.

    Ability to obtain an Operator's Certificate - Aeronautical (radio license) within 90 days of employment.


    Experience and Qualifications:
    Previous experience in the aviation industry in a similar role is an asset.
    Minimum two years' ramp and fuelling experience is preferred.
    An understanding of ramp handling, fuelling, security regulations is an asset.
    Previous experience leading and supervising a team is required.
    Must have basic mathematics, trouble shooting skills and excellent attention to detail.
    Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
    A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
    Able to work well under pressure and respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
    Able to multi-task and establish priorities.
    Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
