    Position Summary

    Culturally Grounded Community Educators will provide education on STBBI and harm reduction practices, offer one-to-one service navigation support, facilitate access to harm reduction supplies and testing services. They will also participate in community events, lead workshops and groups for the Indigenous communities.


    The role involves reporting directly to a Team Supervisor of the Program Site with responsibilities that span across Harm Reduction, Community Education Programs & Services; Testing Treatment & Linkage to Care; Administration areas.


    Harm Reduction Responsibilities:

    • Promote safer sex practices through educational activities and harm reduction supply distribution via outreach services or drop-in centres.
    • Engage in community-based initiatives like event participation at gatherings displays information booths assistance providing vital information promote substance use cessation resources early intervention planning culturally sensitive program developments relating best indirect client interactions greater improved personal professional qualities addressing
