Manager, Income North America


What is the opportunity?
This position manages end to end processes related to Income Entitlements performed by the Income Processing Teams.

You will develop processes and procedures to mitigate operational risk, reduce cost and look for opportunity to improve operational efficiency.

In addition, you will be responsible for effective staff management and continuous development of the most efficient and effective organizations structure for the group, with a high focus on risk mitigation.


What will you do?

  • Ensure quality of service delivered by our entitlements processing teams is in line with service level agreements in place while ensuring superior quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness of information delivery to internal and external clients
  • Provide procedural and technical support to employees ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all income payments, while mitigating risk
  • Ensure errors and omissions are kept to an absolute minimum and where occurring are not repetitive in nature.
  • Develop, propose and assist in implementing strategies to continually improve processes within the group.
  • Ensure selection of quality staff when hiring, using behavioral competency interviewing techniques, ensuring the standard and caliber of incumbents is at such a level as to maintain delivery of superior service to all Client's at all times.
  • Take a lead role in projects identified by senior management.
  • Provide support to initiatives that affect the key deliverables of the Entitlements group
  • Ensure backup(s) identified are fully trained.
  • Develop staff by ensuring opportunities are available to them to learn new skills and/or upgrade current skills, which includes maximizing on their strengths and working with them on areas of development.
  • Talent Management maximize talent in your team by identifying leaders of the future and help them to grow in their careers.
  • Perform one on one monthly meetings with staff, documenting details of items discussed for future reference as required.
  • Ensure annual written evaluations are completed and discussed with staff by the deadline set by Senior Management.
  • Ensure the equitable distribution of daily work, by analyzing volumes and allocating staff accordingly.
  • Control and minimize overtime within the team
  • Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process, and keeping them focused on business priorities.
  • Foster and establish good relationships within the team through staff mentoring as well as reward and recognitions as appropriate

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Knowledge of Corporate Action/Income Principals & Custody Platforms, Intermediate to Advanced Accounting, Back Office Financial Services Experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and people management abilities
  • 5 Years Securities Industry experience
