    Position and Responsibilities

    CFM Cobourg requires a wall reduction operator to support Calandria production. The role will primarily involve performing standard production tasks necessary to support the business.

    Requirements include the following.

  • Be qualified for internal pickling process procedures.
  • Safe handling of Hydrofluoric Acid.
  • Follow all prescribed work instructions.
  • Be trained and qualified in multiple other mechanical processes to support the project's success.
  • Work shifts (including split) and OT as required.
  • Lift and carry tubes (22 kg) 8 to 10 times daily (approx. frequency) – note: all lifts require two operators.
  • Complete other tasks as requested by the Supervisor, Lead Hand or designate.
  • Strong team player with a strong work ethic and ability to maintain positive working relations with co-workers and clients.
  • Exceptional safety and quality awareness.
  • Inspection and test equipment to monitor and check product quality according to written instructions.
  • Use of precision measuring devices.
  • Education and Qualifications

    Requirements of the position:

  • 1 or 2-year diploma in Chemical handling/processing
  • OR

  • 3 to 5 years of industrial experience
  • Assets:

  • Previous qualification and/or previous calandria tube manufacturing experience
