Acara Solutions is looking for a Senior Training Specialists our client located in Hamilton, ON

Direct Placement - $60K to $75K (Salary)

Facilitate training and onboarding for newly hired associates and act as culture ambassador to support a positive associate experience
Coordinate with business partners, including Supply Chain Leadership Team, Training Specialists, Safety, and Human Relations to ensure associates complete requirements
Work with the local management teams to create and manage training matrix for the location, including tracking completed
Partner with the National Sr. Training Specialists and Supply Chain Leadership Team to assess associate capabilities and provide necessary feedback on skill level or additional required training
Partner with Supply Chain Leadership Team to assess associate capabilities and provide necessary feedback on skill level or additional required training including the evolution of a skill gap analysis
Identify opportunities for improving training practices and make recommendations to Supply Chain Leadership Team
Support associate engagement and retention initiatives at the facility(ies)
Coordinate individual and group training events as needed
Maintain documentation, including training logs, sign in sheets, and electronic signatures to verify training completion and ensure this information is logged
Travel commensurate with requirements throughout the region you support

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Associates Degree
Minimum of 6 years' experience in a unionized food, dairy, beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Knowledgeable and be able to follow GMPs, Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
Superior communication skills in a multicultural environment and the ability to deal with a variety of frontline industrial relations issues
Takes initiative, exercises good judgment in daytoday business decisions
Strong leadership skills
Knowledge of good labour/management practices including progressive discipline and positive reinforcement techniques
Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations and best practices

Salary:
$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
