    Description

    About the Opportunity

    The Health Support Aide plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by assisting with daily care routines and supporting patients/clients with activities of daily living. Responsibilities may include providing basic care, specimen collection, and other support functions under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals.

    About You

    We are interested in candidates who meet the following criteria:

    • Grade 12
    • Any relevant experience or education would be beneficial
    • Knowledge of infection control procedures
    • Current BCLS certification
    • Non-violent Crisis Intervention training preferred
    • First aid and first responder training such as St. John Ambulance course, HS lifeguard certificate, are assets
    • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients/clients, hospital staff, and referral sources
    • Ability in other languages, particularly French, is an asset
