Material Handler (Forklift Operator) - Day Shift
Pacific Coast Fruit Products Ltd is a progressive, globally recognized fruit processing and trading company located in Abbotsford, BC. We are looking for a skilled individual for Material Handler (Forklift Operator) position.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Material Handler will assist with coordinating the availability of packing materials and supplies and the transfer of goods to/from production and/or storage areas.

Material Handling Duties

Using a forklift, transfer pallets of raw materials and packaging from our production yard (outdoors) into our manufacturing facility. Staging materials to ensure manufacturing has everything needed to process and package fruit purees and concentrates.
Transfer finished goods (pallets of drums and pails) out of production and put them into freezer storage.
Organizing and cleaning the yard
Complete appropriate paperwork and records

General Duties / Production Support - When not performing Material Handler duties & responsibilities include:

Supporting production (helping drum, re-pack, lid product, stage pails, load pallets)
Cleaning and sanitation of equipment
General plant cleaning and organizing
There will be full days of cleaning and production support.

Shift Schedule

Day Shift 12hour shifts from 6:00 am to 6:15 pm
Employees work a twoweek rotating schedule with Friday, Saturday, Sunday off every second week.

Week One

Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Week Two

Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Repeat

What else do you need to know:

We are a food processing manufacturer of local and imported berries and fruits.
Work is indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Working in the freezer is frequent when performing Material Handler duties
Ability to read, write and speak English required.
We look for solid work history, supportive work references and a demonstrated commitment to great attendance.
Heavy lifting required up to 57 lbs.
Forklift experience required.
