Description

Skilled Carpenter
You'll be responsible for helping to complete high-quality residential renovations and additions. This will include tasks such as demolition, framing, subfloor work, trim work, and hanging doors.

You must be able to follow current construction practices and procedures, as well as possess the skills to operate relevant tools and equipment.

You should also be able to read and interpret blueprints and demonstrate independent problem-solving ability.


Regular Responsibilities

  • Fitting and installing trim: baseboard, casing, crown moulding, custom wall panelling, etc
  • Measuring, ordering, installing interior doors, and hardware
  • Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches.
  • Able to complete tasks individually or as part of a team.
  • Maintain tools and must be competent in handling tools.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

Skills & Experience:


  • Knowledge and familiarity with finish details: drywall, backing, schlueter waterproofing, tile, glass enclosures, etc.
  • Solid understanding of construction procedures, and materials.
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction standards is an asset.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches is an asset.
