Description
Western Medical Canada Inc is expanding to meet the high demand of hospital / institutional construction sector.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the representative on current and future construction projects
  • Provide effective management of construction of the project(s); delivered on time and on budget according to the project plan and financial expectations
  • Supervise and coordinate subtrades, construction management partners and consultants
  • Create and manage project plans that align with scope, time, cost, quality and resources
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project(s), proactively manage and escalate as required
  • Be able to create and maintain project schedules, construction draws, review contracts and price projects where applicable
  • Assisting with tender development and proposal evaluation, including interpretation and negotiation and administers and manages contractors and consultants.
  • Maintaining records including approvals and permits, asbuilt drawings and quality control records and project performance reports.
  • Maintaining project budgets.
  • Communicating with other managers and coordinating operational and maintenance and construction priorities.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary degree or diploma (others to be considered based on education and experience)
  • 5+ years Project Management experience, ideally within healthcare / institutional construction
  • Experience in MS Office including Microsoft Project
  • Experience in AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information.
  • Strong organization, time management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to comprehend design drawings and specifications and related permits including the ability to interpret and solve problems.
  • Must reside in Southwestern Ontario and have the ability to commute / travel to various facilities across the country.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Thamesford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Project management: 3 years (preferred)
