Job Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for shipping, receiving, handling, storing, and moving inventory and supplies, both physically and electronically, within the facility to appropriate product locations.

Essential Duties
- Load/unload trucks and verify shipment details against load/packing slips, bills of lading, orders, invoices, etc.
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment, including the creation of shipping labels and other necessary shipping documents
- Track, trace, and update shipment/receipt status for inventoried products, materials, and supplies
- Maintain accurate inventory in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by performing regular inventory counts and electronic reconciliations
- Coordinate with Logistics Coordinator, Shop Supervisor, and Operations Manager on identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and quality issues
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, forklift, motor vehicle, hydraulic cart, pallet jack, etc.
- Work in a team environment with limited supervision
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate in both the written and spoken language of English to a level that will allow the safe and effective performance of the job
- Commitment to following and promoting safe work habits
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items shipped/received
- Ability to successfully organize and manage details, multiple projects, and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively work with resource planning system, spreadsheets, word processing documents, and other applicable computer systems and software, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle stress in a fastpaced work environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Communication, teamwork, and customer service skills are critical as employee is expected to work directly and indirectly with all levels of employees, customers, and outside vendors
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accountability in assigned tasks
Education and Experience
- Previous shipping/receiving or inventory management experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Consistent walking, talking, sitting, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, lifting (up to 50 pounds), movements requiring fine motors skills and visual acuity
- Work is typically performed in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment though certain tasks/projects may occur outside
- Safety glasses, steel/composite toed shoes, and hearing protection when working on production floor
- Associate is generally protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from high and low temperatures
- Sufficient noise regularly requires Associate to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level
- Associate will be regularly exposed to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, powered industrial vehicles, electrical current, and stored potential energy
- Associate may be exposed to conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin such as fumes, odors, dust mists, gases, limited ventilation, oils, chemicals, cutting fluids, etc.

$15.50-$19.00 per hour
