About us:
The Office of Student Recruitment (OSR) in University Admissions and Outreach is responsible for the strategic, university-wide approach to student recruitment to target and attract students to the University of Toronto.
Working closely with academic divisions, OSR is responsible for regularly planning, implementing, assessing and revising a full spectrum of student recruitment initiatives.
Your opportunity:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Following rules and procedural instructions when opening and/or closing work area
- Booking rooms and arranging appropriate accommodations
- Performing routine data entry
- Tracking and maintaining a calendar of events
- Determining logístical details and activities for events and/or programming
- Determining logistics required for virtual recruiting initiatives
Essential Qualifications:
- Completed college diploma (two [2] years); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a university administrative environment or in afast paced customer service environment
- Demonstrated experience providing front line service
- Experience in planning and coordinating large group events and programs
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be conversant with issues related to student recruitment, admission and/or university life
- Basic understanding of the admissions process, and refer to admission reference materials as required; Good understanding of University policies is essential
- Demonstrates a high degree of familiarity with the three campuses of the University of Toronto to meet the needs of a prospective student
- Familiarization and ability to communicate UofT's academic programs in the context of a tricampus university system
- Ability to exercise discretion, judgement and initiative in decision making, handling confidential documents or information, selecting and interpreting information
Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience using a CRM would also be an asset
- Knowledge and use of databases and student informationsystems is an asset
