Position Overview:

We are currently looking for an energetic, innovative, and results-driven Business Analyst to support the growing business at Deighton.

As a Business Analyst, you will work in a customer-centric environment playing a key role in defining client business needs, gathering requirements, and authoring documentation to communicate the current and future software features that will fulfil the defined client requirements.

You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills to excel in this role.

  • Understand and communicate the Deighton product suite and functionality to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Engage both internal and external stakeholders to identify and document Business, Functional and Nonfunctional requirements in a Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Requirements Document (FRD).
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to produce useful reports and recommendations.
  • Gather and document configuration requirements from the client and communicate them to the Implementation Team.
  • Create and deliver Demo Scripts.
  • Assist the Implementation team with preparing UAT scripts and ensuring that all tests are completed internally prior to client UAT.
  • Develop and/or provide input into internal and external communications and user documentation.
  • Gain and maintain a basic understanding of Asset and Operations Management to give context to the system requirements.
  • Remain current on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize processes and systems.
  • Travel (30%) mainly to the United States.

Qualifications:


  • Requirements Elicitation this role involves using interview, elicitation, and documentation skills to gather requirements from clients, translate them into system design, and communicate them back to the client as well as product teams for sign off and development, respectively.
  • Analytical thinking because you evaluate the effectiveness of processes and software systems, you must know how to assess the company's current system capabilities and identify areas of improvement. Also, use this same knowledge to evaluate how new systems will satisfy requirements.
  • Interpersonal skills you will work closely with people at all levels of the organization. Since they collaborate with people from a wide range of backgrounds, strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
  • A bachelor's degree in software, business, or related field.
  • Business Analysis certification are an asset (CBAP, CCBA etc.)
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Highly adaptable to change and comfortable working in complex and fastpaced project environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years working as Business Analyst/Consultant in an external client facing environment.
