Description

Thinking Big is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a client in the post secondary education space as they plan for investment in new infrastructure/software and modernized data access and governance processes.

_Work will be primarily performed remotely, with the possibility of on-site meetings in Halifax, N.S._


Responsibilities

• Act as the Facilitator and Project Manager for the planning engagement for the design and procurement of a new data warehouse
• Articulate the objectives and project framework
• Work directly with Project Team & Leadership Representatives and assess the work and procurement opportunities surrounding data storage and integration with existing business systems
• Develop processes and documentation for the following:
• Functional and technical requirements specification for data architecture and warehousing
• Agile & responsive decisionmaking structure
• Policy review and management
• Procurement lifecycle
• Understand implications for financing the project

Deliverables

• Develop a requirements document to be used in a procurement process
• Develop a data architecture strategy inclusive of project plan, budget, procurement, and resource plan
• Conduct a planning session with key executives
• Conduct a planning event to 'Plan the Plan' and kick off the procurement cycle

Skillset

• Experience in data management and data storage solutions
• Experience at the senior management level in the higher education environment and governance model
• Proven leadership and change management skills
• Proven project management and system implementation experience in a university environment

Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
$70.00-$125.00 per hour
