Definition:
The Production Supervisor reports to Production Manager and plans, organizes, directs, and controls the operations of the production department.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the daily start-up of production machinery
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
- Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules
- Creating and distributing work schedules for the sanitation
- Requests within 24 hours, troubleshooting problem orders
- Ensure and audit completion of Plant Sanitation Audits follow up with required corrective actions the audits identify
- Assures Sanitation supply inventory levels are managed to meet targets without impeding plant objects
- Perform or delegate daily preoperational inspection of production department
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a manufacturing establishment or the operations or production department of a manufacturing establishment
- Ensuring the requirements of production are met: customer orders are satisfied and production metrics are met
- Monitoring and enforcement of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements and BRC requirements.
- Monitoring and enforcement of Health and Safety Policies and procedures
- Utilization and enforcement of the progressive disciplinary process for coaching and development of staff
- Two way and consistent / constant communication with employees in order to maintain company goals of an exemplary employee relations environment
- Organization and scheduling of manpower per production schedule requirements
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, where necessary adjust equipment, processes and formulation to meet expected standards.

- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
- Prepare production and other reports
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments
- Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques
- Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets
- Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work
- Leadership, implementation, and enforcement of all Company policies and procedures
- Making recommendations to management on changes or improvements to processes in order to achieve greater efficiencies and overall company goals

- Handling medium heavy loads (up to 23kg/50 lbs)
- Attention to detail
- Completion of postsecondary school in a relevant or related field of study
- Completion of postsecondary school in a relevant or related field of study
- 510 years of experience in supervision
- Experience in Food Manufacturing
- Computer literacy and experience in the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook
Salary:
$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
