Central West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) currently operating under the business name Home and Community Care Support Services Central West is seeking a

Temporary Full-Time (9 months), Recruiter to join the team to support the implementation of people strategies that drive organizational results to attract and retain exceptional people.


POSITION OUTLINE:


Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment, Selection and Retention Activities_
  • Making job offers and preparing and sending out the offer package.
  • Develop, recommend and implement human resources programs and services in the area of recruitment and retention.
  • Provide communication and training to management and staff related to recruitment and selection and retention programs.
  • Provide guidance and advice to management and staff on recruitment and selection issues.
  • Support the management team in planning efforts related to staffing levels and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Recruitment and Selection policies and procedures to meet the requirements of the HCCSS and to conform to employment legislations
  • Other HR Support Activities_
  • Participate and support Human Resources projects.
  • Advise and make recommendations to managers on best practices, human rights legislation and all other relevant legislations pertaining to Recruitment and Selection.
  • Participate in Career and Job Fairs. Participate and collaborate in the Recruitment initiatives of HCCSS's of Ontario.
  • Developing, maintaining and updating job descriptions on a periodic basis.
  • Conducted exit interviews and reported trends to management.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies/ practices developed and implemented by the HCCSS and take reasonable precautions.
  • Participates in various HCCSS committees as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in business administration, human resources or related discipline from a recognized university.
  • CHRM or CHRP designation an asset.
  • Three to five years progressive experience in human resources advisory role including direct responsibility for the complete recruitment lifecycle.
  • Previous Human Resources generalist experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of human resource practices, theories, trends and legislations in order to provide professional guidance, interpret legislative requirements and monitor HR related activities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of labour relations and union contract administration.
  • Knowledge of general management and business administration practices.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills to draft clear and concise correspondence and formal reports.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Creativity, mathematical and analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and develop recommendations.
  • Decisionmaking and problemsolving skills to identify appropriate responses to issues or problems in the face of conflicting needs.
  • Excellent listening and reading comprehension skills in order to interpret, assess the significance of, and retain information communicated verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with work processing spreadsheet and database software, including computerized HRIS.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Central West HCCSS's mission and values.
