What We Are Looking For_
We are looking to hire the right person, not the right qualifications.
The right person will be friendly, professional, and an excellent listener.
They will also be a hard worker, a good writer, and the sort of self-starter that doesn't require supervision to do a great job.
Laura was Powell Litigation's first hire, a freshly graduated law clerk from Cambridge, Ontario. She worked dutifully at the firm before moving abroad.
Laura commuted from Cambridge every day to our office in Toronto. Despite this hour and a half commute, she was never late. Not once. In fact, she was usually early so she could hit the ground running.
When no one else was around, rather than looking at Instagram, she took the initiative and did her work. She's driven and required no supervision.
She's a friendly person who takes great pride in her work and supported Powell Litigation's vision of becoming the best litigation boutique in Toronto.
She's also a damn good writer. Are you like Laura?
