Description
We are looking for general labourers for an 8 month renovation project. Pay is dependent on skills and experience.


You will be:


  • Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas.
  • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
  • Operate and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.
  • Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding, wayfinding, etc.
  • Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skill labor when necessary.
  • Follow instructions and coordinating the work with supervisors and/or project team.
  • Perform site cleanup.
  • Maintaining workplace safety standards in accordance with the provincial occupational health and safety policy.

A little about you:


  • Hospitality and/or Multiple Family Dwelling new construction and/or renovation experience (considered an asset)
  • Able to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
  • Able to read blueprints (demolition and construction plans, material specifications, etc.) an asset.
  • Punctual and reliable.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract


Salary:
$25.00-$40.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kelowna, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- renovation: 1 year (preferred)
