    Position Overview

    The incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to the Manager(s) and programs including processing job postings and related paperwork, maintaining position control, registering new hires in orientation sessions, ensuring that the Manager(s) is/are aware of staffing levels, maintaining information and employee profiles in the SAP staff scheduling system, updating the day to day schedule changes in SAP and running staffing reports as requested. Coordinates appointment calendar for the Manager(s) and performs other clerical duties as assigned. The Secretary 3 will be tasked with supporting administrative activities for program initiatives.

    Experience

  • Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Certification/Licensure/Registration

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Typing 50 wpm, medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience using SAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills required.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Physical Requirements

  • May be required to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings.
  • Must be able to function in a high volume, high traffic environment.
  • This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
