Are you considering taking your career to the next level with one of the top logistics companies globally? Kuehne+Nagel's Mississauga Branch is seeking a new team member to join our Sea Logistics team as an Accounts Payable Specialist on a 14-month contract.

Your Role:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle various accounting tasks to support our Sea Logistics Operational Units, including entry postings, verification and reconciliation of data, and statement reconciliations.

In addition to processing documentation, you will engage in supplier interactions, assist in negotiations, and aid in preparing analytical reports for management.

You will address inquiries from internal and external departments and customers to resolve issues, reporting to the Operational Revenue Care Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities:

Managing financial transactions related to sea logistics, particularly reconciliations and payments for accurate processing
Processing supplier payments according to a set schedule
Reviewing purchase orders to ensure compliance with company policies
Corresponding with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve accounts payable discrepancies
Participating in discussions and negotiations with suppliers on disputes, settlements, and payment terms
Preparing routine financial entries and reconciling them with internal ledgers and financial systems
Compiling reports related to accounts payable for auditing purposes
Contributing to the annual audit process

Your Skills and Experiences:

Preferably a Degree/Diploma in International Business, Finance, Transportation, Logistics, Commerce, Administration, or related fields
1+ year of experience in a financial role is advantageous
Basic understanding of finance and profit loss statements
Fundamental operational knowledge of Microsoft Excel
