Ensuring guests feel welcomed & following service flow guidelines
Being knowledgeable about the full menu including a rotating wine & craft beer menu
Being knowledgeable about the bookshop
Taking ownership of front of house (bar/seating area/bookshop) and driving a positive customer experience
Taking guest requests at the counter and at the table
Inputting guest requests into the POS system accurately
Preparing/serving a range of espressobased drinks
Preparing/serving pastries & other hot/cold beverages
Serving wine & beer
Food running items from the kitchen
Packaging books according to brand standards
Keeping up with dishwashing incl. polishing
Proactively addressing guest concerns/complaints
Other duties as assigned including supporting events

Environment_

Routinely cleaning all front of house areas (bar, floor, equipment, tables etc.)
Replenishing inventory in all front of house areas (cream & sugar, togo packaging etc.)
Reporting potential safety hazards
Informing the manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies
Following all opening, midday, afternoon and closing duty procedures including thoroughly closing down all coffee equipment, dishwashing and cleaning bathrooms

Qualifications /
