AMCAL's School Based & Community Outreach Programs aim to strengthen the school - family - community connections and proposes strong collaboration to better understand the realities of families, their needs and their concerns, in order to ensure the success of the children's education.

AMCAL Program Coordinators are responsible for the smooth overall functioning of their program. This includes being responsible for the delivery of services offered by their program to the identified clientele. Coordinators are also responsible for staff management, i.e.

the interviewing, orienting and training of new staff, as well as the ongoing support and supervision of all staff in their program.

Coordinators ensure that their staff understand and implement the therapeutic modality of the agency—i.e. its systemic, strengths-based, solution-focused theoretical orientation.

As well, Coordinators create and maintain the administrative protocols needed to help the agency function in an effective and cost-efficient manner.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


SPECIFIC TASKS:

*Develop and implement Early Childhood and School programs within the community

*Participate in the Management Team to ensure efficient communication between all coordinators

*Prepare a yearly report for the Annual Report (includes highlights, achievements and future goals for your program)

*Support existing agency policy and make recommendations for changes as issues arise.

*Update all forms, manuals, orientation packages, staff job descriptions, and other relevant material yearly.

*Develop and implement an educational program for children, parents and teachers based on needs.

*Collaborate with schools within the territory.

*Act as the liaison and main support to the participating schools.

*Coordinate and schedule facilitators for AMCAL's school program

*Collaborate with schools to coordinate and schedule Intervenant Communautaire Scolaire (ICS).

*Identify materials to promote AMCAL's distinctive programs to all identified target markets.

*Work with the Executive Director to identify potential contacts and develop new program materials for AMCAL's programs/services.

*Perform additional tasks when needed.


HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT:

*Assess the human resource capacity of your program and interview, recruit, and conduct orientation and training for new staff members.

*Prepare and facilitate monthly team meetings with group facilitators.

*Prepare Orientation and necessary program documentation for regular staff training sessions.

*Facilitate communication and coordination between all the staff in your program so that clients receive a consistent quality of care.

*Conduct 3-month evaluations with new employees, and bi-annual performance discussions as well as an annual review each calendar year.

*Verify the accuracy of timesheets on a biweekly basis and sign and submit to the Financial Coordinator for processing.


BUDGET:

*Assist in the preparation of the yearly budget.

*Monitor the budget for your program on a monthly basis.

*Prepare program and financial data for any contracts for your program, and invoices and contracts for fee-for-service agreements.

*Verify the accuracy of the statistics for each program/contract by means of monthly monitoring and cross checking.


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

*Bachelor's degree in Social work, Education or a related field.

*Two years of experience in family intervention, group animation and programming.

*Minimum 2 years' experience working in an administrative and team management role.

*Bilingualism is required.

*Organized, excellent time management skills.

*Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Windows, Outlook, Google platform (Gmail, drive etc.)

*Team player; strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently.

*Excellent Communication skills (both written and oral).

*Proactive and creative attitude.

*Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

*Knowledge of the community resources and environment.


Salary:
$27.50-$30.00 per hour
