Description
Vice President of Finance - Permanent
Our esteemed client, located east of downtown Ottawa, is in search of a Chief Administrative Officer with a strong finance and accounting background to join their vibrant team on a permanent basis.
Conduct comprehensive analyses of internal business operations
Assume responsibility for investments, taxation, cash management, and financial reporting
Oversee regular controllership, the entire accounting cycle, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control processes
Monitor company performance, implement necessary corrective actions, and furnish detailed reports for stakeholders and the executive team
Ensure compliance with local and Canadian financial regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of existing and emerging legislation and taking requisite actions
Conduct thorough analysis of corporate liability and investments through rigorous risk management practices
Supervise Human Resources operations, collaborating with external partners for benefits, payroll, and recruitment. Serve as a mentor, coach, and leader for the finance and accounting team. Oversee the implementation and enhancement of Software and Information Technology systems, ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory standards
A charismatic leader with a passion for training, mentoring, and coaching
Minimum 5 years of experience in an executive finance and accounting leadership role
Proficiency in advanced systems such as Excel and reporting tools, along with comprehensive knowledge of the full accounting cycle, financial planning, analysis and reporting, regulatory compliance, and tax planning
CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation
A Master's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience
This is a full-time, permanent role, on-site, 5 days per week
