Performs variety of activities in support of one or more Project Managers, with the overall goal of meeting project aims.

Activities include scheduling, project metrics, engaging stakeholders and running reviews to establish current performance. Reviews required documents for accuracy and completeness. Maintains project schedule in MS Project.

The role is part of the Program Management career path.

Job Description:


  • Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources.
  • Uses tools to help monitor progress through required milestones across functional areas in order to ensure timely responses to customer needs.
  • Raises issues and exceptions to appropriate levels for resolution.
  • Provides insights on how to improve project design and processing for better overall delivery and value.

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or businessrelated discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 2+ years of experience in project administration and/or project planning, or similar experience in projectbased environments.
  • Prior experience in using MS Project a benefit
  • The successful person must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to understand and develop procedures.
  • Strong skills with MS Office suite
  • Proficient with MS Project and familiarity with financial concepts
  • Knowledge of performance reporting
  • Experience scheduling complex projects
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting customer programs.
  • Business acumen to include a working knowledge and understanding of financial, accounting, earned value, and operational functions required to provide sound project support.
  • Aptitude for Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to create presentation and related project materials.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skill.
  • Professional presence with desire to improve processes and manage project schedule and budgetary goals.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining customer, client, and vendor relationships with high level of satisfaction
